Use of cheap harmful colors in foodstuff

Dear Experts,

1) If street vendors of sweets in roadside bazaars of Noida(Uttar Pradesh) use cheap harmful colors in sweets like jalebees etc. to impart bright orange color, which laws are violated?

2) Complain to which public authority for taking action?

Lodge complaint to the nearest police staton under Food Adulteration Act.

Yes you can lodge the complaint as suggested by Barman Sir. You may complaint to Food Inspector of that area or Chief Medical Officer or Administrative officers.

Complaint can given to the department of prevention of Food adulteration.
