I HAVE APOINTED AN ADVOCATE FOR TWO MONEY SUIT IN HIGHCOURT OF CHENNAI. FROM LAST 2 YEARS HE IS NOT AT ALL TAKING ANY ACTION ON IT.HE HAS TAKEN VAKALAT FROM IN THE START. HE ALWAYS REPLIES THE WILL TAKE TIME , IT HAS NOT GOT NUMBERD. BUT LUKY ENOUGH THROUGH MY FRIEND I ENQUIRED IN INFORMATION CENTER , WHICH SAYS IT HAS ALREADY BEEN DECREED ON THE OTHER PARTY. ADVOCATE HAVE ALSO TAKEN LOAN IN HIS NAME FROM ME. NEITHER HE IS REPLYING PROPERLY NOR RETURNING THE MONEY NOR HE IS RETURNING THE DOCUMENTS. I AM ALSO NOT ABLE TO GET THE JUDGMENT COPY WITHOUT HIS PRESENCE SINCE I HAVE ISSUED VAKALAT IN HIS NAME. PLEASE CAN U SUGGEST THE REAMEDY.

If you are aggrieved from the conduct of your advocate, you can lodge complaint with Bar Council. For recovery of money you can file a suit for recovery of money against him.

You can approach the local Bar Council against the Advocate if you feel there is any merit in your complaint for professional misconduct and violation of ehtical conduct. But, make sure that you have a strong and genuine case against him. It should not be merely to frame him for not securing a decree in your favour. A copy of the judgement can be obatined by you also by remitting the required court fees to the concerned department. Please contact the Chennai High Court or visit the indiancourts.nic site for court oders.

You can get the judgment copy even without your advocate.
If you have complaint on the advocate you can approach the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu for suitable action.
