Validity of a Delivery note IN MACT Cases

(Querist) 15 June 2011 This query is : Resolved
A automobile dealer was giving a exchange offer, in which my friend exchange a bike. Dealer gave him a delivery note only on a plain paper (No any stamp on that). In case if purchaser who purchase this bike will do a accident or crime, what is my liability on this? Delivery note is valid in evidence?

No it is not valid. You should have to inform the RTO within 30 days that you have sold the vehicle.

You are still registered owner of vehicle and you are fully liable to any cause.
