MAy I know what is the latest directions on payment of VAT for purchase of flat in maharashtra ( first buyer from builder or resale) since 2006. Having gone through Supreme Court decision there seems to be some doubt..

Thanks Mr Rajendra. I purchased flat from first buyer in 2008 in pune. The flat was purchased after obtaining NOC from builder. Day before yesterday I have received notice from from court on a case filed by the builder demanding VAT.
I am keen to know what is the status of the order.

You have not stated that why and how did the builder approach the court without demanding the VAT amount from you first before approaching the court, because such direct approach shall not be maintainable, you may contest and challenge the same. Before that please furnish the details including the contents of the court judgement or pendency status.
