Waqf board land issue

Hi my father purchased 200 squad yards of land 20 years back on my mother name.. They promised to give 100yards on my name duriny marriag but, unfortunately my mom expired recently. EC is on my mother name after her death we took legalized certificate as well but when my dad is trying to make a registration on my name the sub register rejected it saying that this property survey number comes under waqf board can someone help me out of it.. We really don't know what to do now.. Is there any solution please advice on this...

How was the property purchased by your father , by way of registered sale deed or by any other instrument. If it was by way of sale deed ,you had not mutated the land in the revenue records.
If the land really falls under WAKF then you cannot claim ownership of the land though being in possession.

The property was registered 20 years ago. So the Survey Number of your property might have been more extent and a part of extent in total extent of the S.No. included in Wakf lands list. So obtain fresh list of wafk board by using RTI. In recent list of S.Nos.( with extent) of wakf board, if you find your property S.No. in the recent list also, then file case in court against wakf board.
