what are the facts of your case? why you want to lodge FIR only on 15th august only? if an offence has been committeed an FIR is to be lodged why wait till 15th August

no rules and no restriction for filing or lodging complaint on any particular date, you must answer Mr.Ajay Sethi his question.

No Police Station is closed on National a Holiday. Officer on duty on 15th August is bound to accept complaints of the citizens or write an FIR. When he is on duty, any refusal to accept a complaint can be termed as deleberate dereliction of his duty. If any crime occurs on 15th August, that cannot be ignored and has to be taken cognizance by the duty officer. He should not evade doing his duty on the lame excuse of a national holiday for which he is compensated adequately for his duty on a national holiday.
