Weights and measures act

my query is action was initiated under the standards of weights and measures act against which a writ petition was filed. the same is pending. now a new enactment has come replacing the old act. now which act will apply to a pending case. case law on this would be appreciated.

Case law for every matter is not required. You have only to see the new enactment and go through it and find out whether this is effective with prospective or retrospective effect.

Case law is required where there is confusion in interpretation.

Cases initiated under the provisions of the old act before the enanctment of the new act have to be disposed of according to the old act unless specifically stated otherwise.
