Depends on type of case.
Ms.Usha Kapoor (Expert) 11 September 2016
Dear Client,

In case the Public Prosecutor himself wants to file an appeal against the order of acquittal against the accused the period of limitation is 6 months. In case the complainant herself/himself wants to prefer a leave to appeal from the High Court and then files the appeal the period of Limitation is 60 days.

Provide some details whether the case was tried by trial magistrate and appeal/revision was filed before Sessions Court or the case was Sessions trial. Without having such information, no concrete reply can be given.
