Whether approach to police station or the ilaqa magistrate?

(Querist) 30 August 2012 This query is : Resolved
Sir,
I have been given Anticipatory bail for limited duration of 1 month only and the contents of the order are as follows

" In the event of arrest, accused shall be released on bail by the arresting officer and this order shall be effective for the period of 1 month and during which the accused-petitioner has to approach before the Ilaqa magistrate for regular bail"

After going through the above order, whether its advisable to approach before the Police who will first arrest me and grant me bail or straight away I should made the application before the Ilaqa magistare for regular bail ???

You should move an application before the Ilaka magistrate first and if police wants to arrest you during this period, it may contact you and as per order, it shall have to release you on bail. Concentrate only on the local magistrate court order.

Time limit of one month was undesirable however you have to surrender before the CJM Court.

apply to the local area magistrate for the bail, the police wants to arrest you during this period, then they have to release you as per the orders
