I want to know that whether Pathalogical Laboratory are coverable under ESIC Act 1948 or not?

ESIC Act is applicable to factories and establishments as notified by the appropriate government. The pathalogical lab. cannot be the factory, because, the manufacturing process shall not be done there. Whether pathalogical lab. has been notified or not by the State Government has to be verified from the labour department of your State or ESIC Regional Director of your State, because this procedure is state specific.

Respected Mr. Prabhakar,
Whether PAthalogical LAb can be deemed as Establishment & can cover under ESIC Act 1948 As the question arise from Gujarat Region. So whether Pathalogical Lab are covered under ESIC ct in Gujarat Region.
