Indian Succession Act applies to the christian citizen. Whether self acquired or ancestral property, the property owned by the family head devolves round his wife and all the children in equal share.

Here it is Article 371-A of the Constitution of India that Governs the subject, and the customs prevails. Fortunately, here there is nothing like those DVA,and all those in HMA etc, etc, and in most of the different tribes of the State women are left out from inheritance. Thanks to Article 371-A and to the Naga Leaders who were the archeticts of this provisions in the Constitution of India for the Nagas.
