who will enquire under dv act ?

my wife filed a dv case on me in her home town after i giving restitution of conjugal rights notice to her.who will enquire under dv act?last resided police? or her home town police?

Jurisdiction will be with hometown competent Court.There is no case of police inquiry unless criminal complaint of harrasment,dowry, cruelty etc charged on you.Otherwise case will proceed to its logical end.

The complaint under the dv act is a complaint case and is not supposed to be inquired by the police unless specified by the magistrate on certain exceptional; grounds.
