Wife name addition in sale deed

(Querist) 28 December 2012 This query is : Resolved
Dear All,
a. I have booked a flat on my name in Noida with a builder will get completed by 2016.
b. I got a GNOIDA authority allotment also on my name.

I have a property in Joint name (my name and my wife name). I had planned to sell this property and buy new two above properties with some loan. All money was paid by me for current house, my wife says she will only sign for selling of existing property if her name will be added in registry for above two new properties.
Can in sale deed registry her name is added in both above cases even booking was only my name?
Thank you in advance

Yes her name can be added as a co owner in the sale deed subject to payment of some additional amount to the Development Authority but not to the Developer.

dont sell your existing property which is in joint names with your wife . whether in additional properties purchased your wife name should be added or not is your call . it all depends upon your relation ship with your wife .

if you trust your wife you can sell your existing property and addyour wife name in new properties purchased by you ,

Thank you sir,
I am not getting well with my wife, I don’t trust her much, my marriage is in trouble so I had thought to sell my old property. I booked in my name only after informing to her but now she says her portion Rs 40 lakhs to be given to her, else she will not sign while selling. Or her name to be added in new property. She has not even paid single penny, all I have paid.
Old property value is Rs 80 L
New property value is a. Rs 110 b. Rs 60 L. I cannot afford both without selling old, balance all I had planned for loan.
I can put her name in b. of Rs 60L, not in a.of Rs 110L.
What is the risk you see in selling old house, and buying new of lesser value house on joint name?.
If my marriage is running in trouble, should I not enter in buying new property?
