Ask the mediator to close the mediation and send the matter to judge for trial.

DEFEND THE CASE.
MEDIATOR WILL CLOSE , ON HIS/ HER OWN that it failed.

girl want quick money, so trying often for compromise.
& trying to increase her bargaining power by not withdrawing case.

MONEY GAME...

In such case mediation would fail. Defend the cases on merits.

you have not mentioned details of case she is refusing to with draw . once you agree to pay her X amount of money and agree for divorce in consent terms it can be mentioned that cases if any filed by her would be with drawn . if wife refuses let judge send papers back for trial

If she is not cooperating and willing to withdraw the pending criminal cases against you, it is your call to request the mediator to revert the case to the regular court and get the cases dragged on for more time. By dragging on the 498a case, she will be at a loser side making her bargaining power weaker.

@youngbro,
1. What is the case filed by girl, give details?
2. Why is the girl so adamant and what is her demand in the mediation and/or through the case filed by her?
3.How you are concerned or connected with the case?
4. I find the queriest "anonymous" and question as "academic".
