Window safety box grill legal in CIDCO Navi Mumbai?

Hello Sir,
I live in Ulwe ,Navi Mumbai where CIDCO is administrative authority.
I have installed window safety box grill in my balcony.
This grill is extended 18' outside my Window balcony , now society is questioning me about my window grill.
Is it legal to have safety grills installed on balcony ? If yes What is maximum extension is allowed?

It comes under Rules framed under MRTP ACT for that area
NMMC Town Planning Dept can give ready-made correct ans to your question , other person have to refer Development Control Regulation.
I feel Prima Facie your window grill is more outside and their can be latter also objection from Planning authorities because people first make outside grill extension then slowly cover that area and latter encroach that area , People to make aerial encroachment this way have even robber Railway lines steel which was not used , Now your intention may not be in that line but others may see from that vision
Additionally, now you are little shifting towards violation of law and you may anticipate in future some notices under Municipal Corporation Act or MRTP Act if someone goes and complaint .
Try to do necessary modification with guidance from town planning dept else you may never know as illegal construction they may demolish it or legal problem may be initiated

Grill person can put but it should not be a starting point of encroachment or illegal construction which generally takes place , first shop keeper makes gril as safety then they cover it up then that covering is extended space , and latter all can not even see the grill at first instance and new expanded area is of shop . This is going on so your act people may think from that vision only . This take place in private area only not Municipal land or road , and latter some time some anti-encroachment dept comes and demolish that extended area once in 3-5 years or you need to give them regular hafta
