Withdrawl from land acquisition proceedings

Sir,
We have selected a land and submitted a proposal for acquisition of land.As per demand from Collector ,we have deposited Rs 46,00,000/- towards advance. Unfortunately the proposal is cancelled by Department due to Administrative reasons. Now please guide me on following points.
1) what is the procedure for withdrawal from Land Acquisition proceedings?
2) Refund of Rs. 46,00,000/- from Collector ?
3) Possession of the land is not taken by Department.
Please guide.

Do meet the Collector and ask for formalities.
The procedures are different for different states.

As the acquisition has not taken place so there is no need to make any paper publication in this regard. You have simply to move an application to the office of collector intimating him about your cancellation and have to raise demand of refund of deposited money and wait for his response and may also remind him if the demand is not meted out within a reasonable time.
