what do you want to do?
Kumar Doab (Expert) 26 December 2013
The allegation you have leveled are very serious.

If the lady wants to lodge a complaint she may record audio/visual.

Once such irrefutable evidence is with her she can lodge a complaint and the matter shall be very hot for anyone including the Xen to handle.

Mr. Kumar is right she should also approach to State Women Commission, if there are sound proof she should call to media also.

These people should be not reading news papers even many V.V.I.Ps are in soup because of this reason.File a strong police complaint to the local police station marking copy to the Commissioner of Police ,Chief Minister Cell and State Women Commission also.Your wife need not go to Local Police Station for this and send all the letters by Registered Post with ack due. Also approach the Women'S advocates forum in near by court they would guide you.Up date this column regarding developments

A complaint with Women's forum/commission will be able to solve such nuisance within short period and this woman can breath a sigh of relief seeing the attitude of all those who harassed her.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Expert) 27 December 2013
your description is vague.

I neither agree or disagree with experts above.
Adv. Chandrasekhar (Expert) 27 December 2013
The Prevention of sexual harassment at workplace came into force in this year. As per the Act, the harassed woman can complain before Internal Complaint Committee or before Local Complaint Committee. Due to nonformulation of rules, this Act has not been implemented. But in the second week of December this year, rules have been published. Unfortunate it is, that most of the organizations including several reputed organizations have not constituted the above committees for redressal. As she has given the complaint to the head of the organization and he has not taken any action, he is going to face serious consequences. The harassment perpetrated against her, at some level come within the purview of offences under Indian Penal Code (S.509), you should take up the following steps:
1. lodge a complaint in the police station.
2. Write to the D.C. (he is supposed to be the head of Local Complaints Committee as per law) to initiate enquiry.
3. Write to the Head of the Department (he is supposed to constitute Internal Complaints Committee)
4. Write to the State as well as women's commission.
5. Contact women's organisation/NGO meant for redressal of women's problems.

If nothing turns out positively, you can file Civil/Criminal case directly for appropriate redressal.
