You you are the complainant mean you can pray permission for amend your petition. But am not sure. Court may allow it or deny it. Thats not your right. If you are opposite party mean better you can go for amicable settlement with the complainant.

I differ with the opinion of tome and Dr. Anil.
We are lawyers and are here to provide solutions and not suggestions to make amiable solution to parties.
Arun Kumar! You can file an application seeking amendment in your reply with an affidavit citing reasons leading delay in putting such amendment belatedly. After seeking reply from opposite party, this application shall be decided. If allowed then it is ok and if not, file an appeal against that order before State Consumer commission.

Welcome makkad sir. Is entering in to settlement equal to defeat makkad sir? Basically who wil come to consumer disputes redressal forum sir? An aggrieved persons only. While being so whats the ego to settle the issue amicably? Before consumer forum, whats the winning ratio between complainant and opposite party sir?

I never oppose to make settlement between the parties but the querist has not asked about this matter. His question is whether he can correct his mistake at this belated stage or not, if yes, its procedure. The answer must be legal and accurate as per desire of the querist and not as per our ideal concept to make settlement.
If settlement is the only answer then what is the use of this forum? Any one of the expert may be assigned duty to reply 'make settlement' against each query because this is a good idea and ideal concept.

Amendment is the answer to query.
Settlement is the strive society must have towards disputes.

Amendment is possible. but it will not curtail the rights of opposite party. In Such case no amendment will be allowed.

CPC is not strictly followed in consumer protection act though the amendment is allowed in such proceeding though I doubt whether after so many years the same would be allowed.
