Wrongly filled application

Sir I hide my marital status in a govt job application form of clerk post because I did not have marriage certificate at that time.but now I have this .so how I correct this ..?

It depends on the date of marriage mentioned in marriage certificate

You are already advised very wrongly.

You did not need any marriage certificate to declare your marital status at the time of entry in service. You have already committed a mistake which can price heavily if your wife lays allegation of domestic violence or complaints to deptt (or to court) regarding non-maintenance of family.

You correct the mistake now after declaring marital status.
