Advocate not appeared during hearing

sir,

i had filed a criminal revision petition in the year 2000. during 10 years, the case was listed several times before the high court but mya dvocate never attended the case. it was dismissed for want of prosecution. The lawyer is a very prominent lawyer. Can any action be taken by the Bar council of India against such unprofessional conduct?

@Author

This is the apathy of the system. If a police personnel misbehaves with you, you can only complaint to police station. Similarly if any advocate does as stated in your query, the last resort is again a lawyer.

It is very tricky as to how to get hold of this cunning advocate who missed dates for ten years. May be learned members practising should throw some light on this.

Saurabhji. Do u have any idea if any action can be taken by the Bar council of india on the lawyer & what is the procedure? The lawyer is a very senior lawyer & also has immense clout in the city he is practising in so i wonder if i can get any justice from any source.
