Can an IT company fine or sue it's employee?

Hi, I work in an MNC IT company. I do have anxiety disorder with serious physical symptoms. I have to work to strict deadlines. Can my company fine me or sue me if I am not able to deliver on time(not willfully) leading to the client withdrawing business and the company incurring big financial loss(es)?Is the worst they can do is to terminate my employment?
