Car parking

Hi,

I stay in a society where some of us park our cars within the society premises. While the society has not issued any formal letter allotting us the parking space it does charge a monthly charge.

I am intending to sell my flat and the prospective buyer wants a letter from the society that post his purchase of my flat, he will be allowed to park inside the premises like I presently do.

The secretary of the society, who deals with all society matters, has refused to give any such letters. He claims that I have no proof that the said parking was allotted to me.

Kindly advice me about the next steps I can take.

Regards,

Indranil

Allotment of parking space on payment of monthly parking charges does not make the allotment of space permanent. You have not purchased the parking space.

The new owner, upon occupation, may seek allotment of parking space, which the Society will give him, depending on availability of space, against payment of monthly paqrking charges.
