Evidence before charge.

A private complaint is filed two years back, process issues and accused appearing regularly. The matter is posted for evidence before charge. What is the procedure for the same

What steps accused can take to speed up and end the matter.

1. The accused can file an application  before the charges are framed -  seeking his discharge from the charges leveled against him u/s 227 Cr.P.C.i.e.  if the case is committed before the Sessions Court or u/s 239  Cr.P.C. before the J.M.F.C. 

2. You have not mentioned what are the charges indicted against the accused.

3.  Under the criminal procedure code there is no such stages as tendering of evidence before the charges are farmed.

4. If need be talk to this lawyer. Further consultation would be on chargeable basis with an agreement for post paid phone consultation fees.

Complaint filed u/s 498 A , matter sent for  u/s 202 and after police report process issued. After bail is taken what will be further stages before framing of charges and actual trial. Since the trial has be on charges so will there be two stages evidence before charge and trial after charge.
