false 498a and dowry death

I was living separately from wife since 1 year,During period I didn't made any contact,And suddenly I got informed dat my wife has hospitalized due to throat infection and fever,And my wife died. During treatment after week, My father in law filed 498 agst.me and my.mother Rq u to plz help me Marriage duration 1.5 years She hardly 4 months with me

Sorry to hear that. Pl find out the cause of her death from the hospital.

Collect all evidence about her illness and real cause of death to show natural death and not due to any act of cruelty or dowry demand by you. This will help you for defending charges against you under section 307, 498a IPC.

As rightly asvised hereinabove, collect evidences. If she died while under treatment at the Hospital, collect a copy of the Hospital Report/ Discharge papers that will help you prove your innocence.
