In the court, while dealing with the case of maintenance the net salary of a husband is always computed.

The Supreme Court in the case of Kalyan Dey Chowdhury Vs. Rita Dey Chowdhury (2019) held that 25 per cent of the husband’s net salary would be just and proper to be awarded as maintenance to the wife.
