How to protect myself from my spouse’s debt?

I recently learned that my spouse accumulated a large amount of debt that I was unaware of before starting our divorce through midivorcepapers.com. I’m worried that I may be held responsible for some of it, even though I had no involvement in taking out the loans. How do I ensure that I am not legally liable for their financial mistakes? Should I request legal documentation to protect myself before finalizing the divorce? What steps should I take if creditors start contacting me about my spouse’s debt?

You can consult an attorney of your country and get advice on further course of action in this regard.

I fully agree and endorse the advise learned experts.

Besides this, you can consider to publish your decision qua seeking divorce from your wife in local and national newspapers so that you may notify and warn general public against for any action / liability of your wife.

it is better to file regular divorce petition in court and not through any service provider as advised previously.

Just get copy of receipt for divorce application filed on the website or application number and date  and issue notices to the agencies you believed to have provided the loans, send them disclaimer notice for any borrowings by your spouse.

meanwhile make a publication in newspaper .
