Hello sir!
Section 78(a)(vi) says that "on any transaction or scheme of wagering or betting in which the receipt or distribution of winnings or prizes in money or otherwise is made to depend on
chance"
So in September 2021, the Karnataka Assembly passed legislation to amend the Karnataka Police Act, 1963. The new law made all forms of gambling a cognisable and non-bailable offence. Hence section 78(a)(vi) of the Karnataka Police Act is a non bailable offence.
