please advice

Dear all

My friend lost case in labour court because of perverse finding recorded by it. and he filed writ in high court thr' a lawyer and now staying in his native place which is arond 200 kms from Bangalore. hence he can not appear and meet lawyer on every hearing date. web site shows his case status as kept for LCR from more than nine months in all the hearing dates. Is this normal or not? and why lower court records(LCR) takes so much time. please advice whether he has to change his advocate?

No need to change the Advocate. As you are aware, personal intervention to get the papers move is required at all levels.  This, your friend can do from the lower court.  As reasonable time has elapsed, ask your advocate to seek information under RTI, which may be helpful in moving the records.
