Police threatening me for 498a

My wife filed a 498a FIR on me and family in nov 2012 and based upon settlement in court she submitted a withdrawl application in the police station to the investigating officer. This happened in march. We thought everything is over. I gt signed copy of the application from the IO. Now in september i gt a call frm another ASI from the same police station saying that a case is filed and i have to come for statement. i dnt know wt is happening.. i am scared of arrest. Plz advise 1) is it as per law? 2) what can be done to prevent misuse of law and by my wife & in laws(We are living seperate since may 2013.

Not to worry, before visiting PS talk to your wife, if possible and on good terms (which I hope so) and find out the fact, under these circumstances no one shall arrest. Legality or otherwise is to be determined in trail before the Court

Dear querist,

1.First of all know the facts which were grounded during the time of withrawl of FIR by wife,read the letter which by handed by IO at that time.

2. Ask the ploceman who had called you at what frame you are calling,ask him send complaint letter or any notice for that.

3. Consult your lawyer and visit along with him if they are not handing you complaint copy and unecessarly harrasing you.

4. Write regarding threatning and extortion from your wife and her parents to your nearest police station and main copy has to be given to your senior SSP with attachment of previous withdrawl FIR of 498a.

5. Now,be prepared to handle your wife more viviously and wildly.

6. If you don't want her to get back to you,then file for divorce right now on mental cruelity to avoid any further mishaps from her.

7. Simply siting idle will cause you in trouble if she has made her mind to harass you and your family.
