Probation period

What is the maximum period of probation for central government employees. when can should be the probation confirmed? can the employer extend probation after the probation period is completed?

Probation period depend on concern department service rules.It may be extended by competent authority.

Probation period varies and depends upon the concerned department/authority.

Yes, probation period can be further extended if the employee is not working or performing upto there mark and also be removed from the service if despite the continuous extension of the probation period, employee had not improved his performance.
