prosecuting investigating officer under section 340 CRPC

dear experts,

myself advocate Siddharth from Delhi I am dealing with a problem that in a case in which investigating officer deposed falsely regarding investigation in which he have not made investigation regarding a certain material evidence now the case is under trial and I want to move an application under section 340 CRPC against him as well as against complainant so kindly tell me what the procedure I should adopt for prosecution under section 340 CrPC meaning thereby should I take permission before prosecuting a public servant or under section 340 CrPC there is a no need to take permission for prosecuting.
