Hi Sheik,

I tried this, but nobody is ready to listen. They are saying they had charged me less, if i will not pay they will charge big amount. Also deptt. officer told if i pay half money to him he will clear everything.

Customer, its representative, or lawyer can attend consumer court proceedings.

The bills are computer generated and prepared as per fixed tariff and meter reading of consumed units.

On which counts you feel that you have been overcharged?

It shall be appropriate to first lodge a written complaint under acknowledgment and proceed to give notice (which you can also give) and if no relief is granted you can escalate to higher authority or lodge a consumer complaint.

Bribe is not recommended.

Hi,

I just purchased flat in Noida in September 2011. Owner handover me full file of electricity bills.

I spent one month in flat (Sept.) 2011 and from October i am out of town for office work till now and my flat is closed.

Still i am getting bill of 1000+. I done the online payment of month Oct. & Nov. to avoid any supply cut.

I checked my bill and called my friend to check the issue. My friend contacted customer care office Noida sector-18 and came to know in bill it shows my meter is faulty. I confirmed with person from whom i purchased a flat, he confirmed meter already replaced and "Sealing Report" is there in file.

My friend collected the Sealing Report from my flat and contacted Customer care office. They suggested him to submit Sealing Report to sector-108 PVVNL office to update meter status. He went to sector-108 PVVNL office with latest bill and Sealing report .

The PVVNL officer told we have to pay Rs. 6000 as there was only small bill Rs.260 came for month in Jan. & Feb 2010. For this we have to pay penality. My friend checked all the old bills but nothing was mentioned as Pending amount in any of the last one year bill.

Meet the SDO in person, with written narration of the incidences (date wise and details) submit the same, obtain acknowledgment with seal and signature and demand a written reply and correction of the error.

Your grievance should get resolved. If you are busy in the meantime you can submit the same by email.

Remind/escalate to the next level, as per their escalation matrix.

Touch their grievance redressal mechanism.

Pls look into the attchment.

Narrate the incidents in detail. You can thereafter call them on phone.  This company is under the ambit of RTI.

You can ask the customer care about the matrix and should obtain complaint number each time.

Maintain call records.
