quashing of rape case

Is it possible to quash rape cases.Is it possible to make a settlement between the victim and offenders. If so kindly mention leading case laws

Hello,

As per me settlement between offender and victim before court is not possible. You may try for quashing but there will be very very less chances.

QUASHING OF CASES IN GRAVE AND NON COMPOUNDABLE OFFENCES IS NOT POSSIBLE. A COMPROMISE CANNOT BE ENTERED IN NON COMPOUNDABLE OFFENCES. IF YOU BOTH HAVE COMPROMISED YOU CAN GET ACQUITTED BY TURNING THE WITNESS HOSTILE DURING THE TRIAL.

it was alleged that the accused had promised to marry her but before engagement it was found that girl is already married and taken divorce after six month,due to that reason family has broken the relation, girl and her family threatened to marry or facing rape charges and accused was charged 376 and 417.On this basis it is possible to quash rape charges???
