It does take some time to get the notice served when the opp party is residing in other state as by ordinary method the notice will be served by the belieff of the Jodhpur court. Wait for some more time to receive the balieff report.

its always advised to send the notice by RPAD TOO alongwith balieff route

steps :

1. filing of petition

2. admission arguments (here u can request the court - both verbal & written - to send notice by RPAD - by hand also - submit that u will pay process fee - Grounds : resp. is resident of far away place - its necessary to send notice by RPAD so that service is done expeditiously in time)

3. ORDER - Issue notice to resp.

4. notice is sent by court office.

This is normal practice for every one who sends notice will send through registered post aknolwedgement due 

even your lawyer will send thorugh this process and court also sends in this process but you have to confirm wheater court asked your lawyer to send personal notice or only said notice to respondent 

if your lawyer sends notice through RPAD then ask him to give the receipt number and track through online site of the postal department you will get the status up-to-date
