Recover the loss from employee

One of our ex-employee has been terminated from our organisation, due to his leave without formal intimation.On the same our project is in crucial stage. But he dont bother our words and he kept the leave.Due to that it has done the huge loss to the company.
So we havent pay the salary for 10 days of work, so my question is how can we proceed legally to recover the losses / damages happened to the company.

As per appointment letter terms & conditions, you can collect damages from the ex-employee by filing a case in labour court. Send a legal notice first.

I believe there should be terms and conditions for indemnification and warranty clauses in the appointment letter. You can drag the employee with that clause reference to any civil court and pray for compensation.
