Any expenses you have paid on behalf of the company, as long as within the HR Policy of your company, are supposed to be reimbursed to you, as they were spent in the capacity of an employee.

My friend worked as freelance consultant for a company in India but was appointed by a European Company abroad. All her expenses were met out by the Indian company as per the norms said by the European company as Advances. Bill and vouchers were settled as and when for those periods. When she left the company she was given proper reliving. Later on few months after she was sent notice asking for recovery of amount stating it's not Advances but only repayable loans. They had not stayed that these advance were repayable loans till she was engaged by them. Pls advice. |
