I had booked a flat under Uttar Pradesh Government scheme in 2012.
I was communicated in their booklet that after the last installment , if the government is not able to allot the house in next 12 months and if user wants to cancel the allotment he can cancle the same and will get full refund. Awas Vikas allotted the same after more than 23 months of last installment.
Question - I had paid 50k as Service tax also apart from installments. Flat is not yet registered...will i get the Service Tax back? I am in urgent need of money thus want to cancle the allotment.
Nobody is telling at Awas Vikas that they had paid the service tax or it is still lying at their bank account.
Is the Service Tax once paid returnable if the user is not getting the flat registered and surrendering the same to govenrnment b4 registartion...Kindly clarify.
