what is the stamp duty for deed of assignment and under what Article it covered in the Stamp Act.
There is share certificate of 8, Himalaya House, 79, Palton Road Mumbai 400001. This share certificate is transferred from Biharilal Bajaj to Biharilal Bajaj, Ramesh Bajaj and Prakash Bajaj. I do not know why, but there is also assignment deed (on Rs. 20 stamp paper) along with this share transfer form. Himalaya house Company Ltd. is Company and not a cooperative society which has issue shares to various shops ( one of these is 8, himalaya house)
Is the assignment deed dated December 1995 valid?(it is not registered) Is it necesarry for share transfer. No other shop / office in Himalaya House Co. Ltd. has such an assignment deed.
The shares have been transferred , as mentioned above, on February 1996.
Pls treat this as very urgent and imortant to prevent miscarriage of justice.
