Sir/Ma'am,

I would like to know about the scope of Corporate Law in India. Is it a right choice to choose Corporate Law as specialization looking at the current scenario of the Indian economy?

Surely Corporate Law practice is rewarding. You can think of becoming a qualified Company Secretary, which is a tough course covering all aspects of Company Law. It's a professional course like CA and I. You can visit the website of Institute of  Company Secretaries for full details course. Here is the link:

As per the career question you've raised, I would like to tell you that the field Corporate Law is further divided into various sub-categories depending upon the needs and structure of an organisation.

For further explanation, I've laid down the different fields of Corporate Law:-

⭕ Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A),
⭕ Private Equity,
⭕ Project Finance,
⭕ Capital Markets (CM) and
⭕ Banking & Insurance.

Thus, choosing Corporate Law as a specialization is not the end, as there are a number of categories you may work in, so it's very crucial for you as a student to try to find out all the details of the field very precisely, such that your goal to be a successful corporate lawyer is accomplished. This is very important for you to find out you're interests as mere choosing Corporate Law as you're specialization in college is just the beginning to an ocean of opportunities.

Hope It Helps
