Regarding the judicial trend on insurance policies refer the below cases:-
Life Insurance Corporation of India is not established only for earning profits, but as a social welfare institution (re.LIC of India Vs. Anuradha (2004) 10 SCC 131); and, that the LIC policy should not be dealt in a mechanical manner (Life Insurance Corporation of India & Ors. Vs. Smt. Asha Goel & Anr. AIR 2001 SC 549 = (2001) 2 SCC 160.
