The distance relatives demanding hissa on my agree land.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have agree. land property which is heritated from my father/mother. I am legally adoptedby them from another family. Last 22 years the agree land is on my name. Recently my distance relative ( I am not sure wheather they are my relatives) asking their hakka on my land. From Govt. records the land was owned by my father since 1950. The records earlier to 1950 are not available.

So please suggest me what should I do to save my land?

The distant relatives have no-rights-whatsoever,  IF the said land was in the sole name of your father.

Since you are legally adopted, you have all the rights on the property of your father.

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal
