Unlimited calls and whatsapp pings from recovery agents of yes bank for missed emi

Hello team,

We had sudden financial crunch due to unexpected medical expenses and non payment of salary for a month, We had to miss the EMI but was paying those EMI within the same month before it crosses the 30 day bucket.
 

We used to pick the calls from the bank/recovery team and inform them the situation and provide a deadline/committment on when the payment will be done - have also informed the same via WhatsApp chat who ever contacted

Inspite of this, we are getting more than 12-15 calls repeatedly and everyday we have people pinging us in WhatsApp

they say these calls are automated and have no control over this unless the payment is done

this is interrupting our day to day life when we are already handling a sudden financial crunch and difficult times with family

why can't they not call until the deadline provided

We had the medical issue last Dec 2023 and non payment of salary on Jan 2024 - we have been missing EMI on the date since Jan but clearing the respective EMI with penal charges on the same month last working day with the following salary

Still we go through this recovery harassment everyday getting so many calls while at work 

We would need advice on how to handle this , We need a month break with EMI at least to get back to routine ECS, we are ready to pay that EMI at the end of the tenure or in the due year itself

Meet the BM in person and tell the position and request him to give you some time to pay emi.

You already have an answer from the bank's end, you may have to endure them if you are at fault.

You cannot take any legal action against them for this, instead you can ignore it without noticing it or by blocking the numbers.
