S.510 of IPC (Indian Penal Code),1860 Misconduct in public by a drunken person.
Any person who is in a state of intoxication appear in any public place or in any place which it is a trespass in him to enter, and there conducts himself in such a manner as to annoyance.
Such person shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which or in any place which it is a trespass in him to enter, and there conducts himself in such a manner as to annoyance to any person
Such person shall be punished with simple imprisonment for a term which may extend to twenty-four hours, or with a fine which may extend to ten rupees, or with both.
Examples :
Bharat was drunk entered into a neighbours event, where he was not invited. Then he began to caused abuse everyone with unpleasant language. Bharat will be punished under section 510 IPC.
Section 511 Indian Penal Code, 1860
As per section 511 of IPC, only dealt with the punishment for attempting to commit an offence. An attempt is also known as a preliminary or inchoate crime as it is something that is not yet completed.
A person commits the offence of ‘’attempt to commit a particular offence’’ when the person:
intends to commit that particular offence
Prepare for the same
Does any act towards its commission.
Ex-Abhijit makes an attempt to steal some jewels by breaking a box and when he opens that box he finds nothing in it, so in that case, ‘Abhijit’ will come under section 511.
