Section 107 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) defines abetment as "instigating any person to do a thing, who, without such instigation, would not have done it." Section 109 of the IPC defines abetment by conspiracy as "abetting the commission of an offence by a person who is not present at the scene of the crime but who has conspired with the person who commits the offence."

Under these provisions, a third person may be able to sue the wife for abetment or aiding and abetting the crime if she actively instigated or conspired with her husband to commit the crime, or if she aided or assisted him in any way.

However, it is important to note that the specific facts and circumstances of each case would need to be considered to determine the exact legal consequences.
