Asking for huge settlement

well Aman, we can understand your agony.

if u ve already decided to fight it out then let them take action....but better would be to settle it out amicably.

if some criminal proceedings are initiated against you then seek advice here accordingly, for the time being keep urself cool.

file divorce else she may file any other case.

If you have solid proofs of her income then dont worry, she will not be able to get much amount from you.

dont sit quietly file a  petition first, before she files any false criminal case, dont let her know you are doing it . just do it stealthily .  so contact an expert honest lawyer immediately. if u file divorce first , u will have advantage when she files a false dv or 498a, 

Avnish is quite right. you can start first and file informatory applications in police and court also about her threats.

There is a development , I spoke to her my wife and her mother and told them though we want to get it solved amicably (reasonable amount whatever), but as they have destroyed my life and they can go to court . I am ready to fight and even I have many things with me. On all this , my wife started shouting that you are a guy I will put you and your family behind bars , I will burn your car and you can claim the insurance etc etc.I have recorded everything. Next day her mother again tried to convince me that it is due to my wrong behavior and I should handle her with care and fear :) I told her clearly tell her to come to councellor (which I am sure she never will).

Now I think her family is in no mood to go to court they want settlement done fast , but wife is crazy women and can do anything. My father is going to talk to her father , that our kids are immature and it is too long a time. Now we should settle it else they have there options open.

Is this strategy fine??

Thing is I don't want to file a case before we know what they want and we are trying to get that figure. But is there a way where I can know , that they have filed a false case on me..

Dear Aman,

This right, let your father begins alongwith some other panchyat members to resolve this issue if possible and choose the people who can give evidence in future about this panchyat.

Further, she will not sit quite, infact she might have file any complaint or met with any advocate to file such complaint agianst you and your family, so be aler.

To know about any case filed in police or court, you have to engage any local lawyer who will keep an eye about thier move and inform you in time and you can get Anticipatory bail before arrest and then persue your case easily.

Once you will get the bail, then all of them will chain thier lips coz they dont have any other option to send you behind bars except DVA for maintenance.

I think there is no way of settling again together left as she called my father and abused him on phone. She keeps giving threats also in the name of laws favoring girls. Though i have the recordings. 

She is earning good and told me that she will never give me divorce. I am sure there must be some guy she is seeing.

As there is no chance of we coming back together , I want to know what could be the best way to start the cases against her . I have heard if a guy files a divorce case first generally it is difficult to get divorce.

I am also interested in this thread as my wife/in-laws has filed false cases against me and family since 4 months now and now since 2 months asking for 5-10 lacs to be deposited on my wife's name to rejoin and saying that if you don't do that they we would continue 498a,crpc 125 etc cases and would also file DV case, court would give maintenance to us and we won't give even divorce to you.

I am interested to know whether I (HUSBANDS like me) should deposite the amount or fight for years (Note that I have 3 years old daughter as well who is currently with my wife on pursis and inlaws are threatening to include her name in CRPC 125 as well).

collect electronic evidence of their threats , where they treaten claerly if u dont give us money we will do 498a and all . if possibel ask tem wat  is ur fault and let tem speak nonsense, u need tehelaka spirit . if u go by it rather u can extract good amount of money from tem (not recommended :)
