Duration of copyright is dependent on the nature of work. For example in case of literary works it is lifetime of the author plus 60 years. Please consult Indian Copyright Act, 1957 for detailed information.

The act may be downloaded from the copyright office website https://copyright.gov.in/Default.aspx

Agreed. The term of the copyright depends on the work for which you want copyright. In literary works also, the year of 60 years varies from condition to condition. Better you see the copyright Act or frame the question specifically.
