Limitation period for recovery of moveable assets from nominee

Does the limitation period of 3 years apply to recovery of money from a nominee who was holding the cash, mutual funds etc. If yes, does this period starts from when the money was disbursed to nominee or when a legal heir first becomes aware (or demands their share)

Whether both the dates (disbursement and knowledge of disbursement) qua movable properties of the deceased are different ?

No facts have been posted for forming proper opinion and oblige.

It is better to consult a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of facts/ documents,  professional advise and necessary proceeding.
