Time limit to file objection in dv cas

How much time does the respondents have before filing the objections for the DV case? Is there any defined time limit?

Written Statement/ Objections ought to have been filed by the respondent within 30 days from the date of receipt of the Written Statement-cum- counterclaim of the petitioners. Supreme Court had permitted extension of time beyond 90 days only in exceptionally hard cases.

No timel limit.  It can go on for 10-20 years too.

Two different replies! Which one is applicable for me? DV case in Jan. First hearing was cancelled as magistrate was on leave. Can I file objection on next hearing which is due in May?
