I would like to know how long these cases runs not only in trial but inluding high court and supreme court, overall how much time it will take,if we fought this cases in all the levels.

Please give me atleast approx year.

DV case 5 years in trial court
498A case more than 5 years in trial courts .

it all depends upon pendency of cases in your city

DEPENDS UPON COURT WORKLOAD,
Attitude and interests of both the Advocates and Parties concern.
1-10 yrs.
498 takes longer, as Police do takes time to file CS; PP not proceed; complainant may not appear in court ; no action can be taken for delay ;; etc etc..

Most of the accused just do the reverse since they start talking of HIGHER COURTS but fail to take proper care at trial court level.

Find out and engage best at trial court level and you can come out there safely and easily.

Once an order is passed in lower court either side it needs extra ordinary efforts to get any reliefs from higher courts.

Court cases are time and cost consuming. Decision may take 5-10 years depending on the pending of the cases.
Raj Kumar Makkad (Expert) 14 May 2014
Instead of wasting your precious time on presumptive matters or counting years, better to concentrate over the defence of your case.If your case is property defended, a situation may come wherein these may end up for ever within a month or two.
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Expert) 20 May 2014
I agree with expert Mr. Makkad's views, take his advise and proceed accordingly.
