Adding caste to school register

Hello All,
Name : Vishy
Age : 41 Years
I want my caste added to school register. At present only religion is mentioned. I passed out in 1989. My younger brother has his transfer certificate which has caste mentioned. He also has Tehsildar issued caste and income certificate. Also my cousin brothers have caste mentioned in their school. We have all passed from same school. I do not have caste/transfer certificate from my late father. He studied in same school. I have legal hiers certificate which can prove my relation to my younger brother. I can also produce agricultural land revenue records to prove my relation to my cousins. Please guide me. My native place where i studied is in Karnatak and i am currently working Pvt sector within CL income limit.My caste is part of CAT2A in Karnatak, Maharashtra and Central.
Please note this is genuine case and i am interested in getting my school register updated and not seeking any reservation or promotion.
Can my native place tehsildar issue me caste and income certificate?
What procedue should i follow to get my school records updated?
If i have to file civil case then what documents will be needed.
what case type and which place to start with?

First indicate what for, at this point of time, you want to have your caste included in your school certificate?
(You have already clarified that you are not seeking any reservation or promotion.) If that be the case, why do you want to have your caste included now?

It would be difficult to get the school certificate changed at this stage.
Approach proper authority to issue you caste certificate.

You never know when it will come handy. May be it will be helpful for my children's education or employment in future.

Whatever mentioned by your father at the time of admission in School records cannot be amended at this stage when you have already passed out your SSLC.
You can publish your "new" name i.e., duly caste included,in two (one national and one local) newspapers with a sworn affidavit and get it published in State gazzettee.
After that send a copy of the gazzettee to School authorities for inclusion of caste with your name. However, insertion of caste and suffixing with your name shall hardly make any difference, if you are realy not interested in obtaining bebefit of reservation.
